The San Global School ("TSGS", "we", "us", or "our") operates the TSGS Connect mobile application and corresponding web platform (collectively, the "Service"). 1. Information Collection and Use

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you as part of the educational ecosystem of The San Global School.

A. Personal Data

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data"). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

• Student Identification Number / Admission Number
• Parent or Guardian details (linked to student accounts)
• Class, section, and academic records (attendance, grades, and schedules)
• Messages and communications exchanged within the Service's chat feature

B. Device and Usage Data

We may collect information on how the Service is accessed and used. This may include information such as your device's Internet Protocol address (IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.

C. Push Notification Tokens

To deliver real-time notifications (such as attendance alerts, college announcements, and direct messages), we collect and store device tokens generated by Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). You can enable or disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.

2. How We Use Your Data

TSGS Connect uses the collected data for various purposes:

• To provide, maintain, and support our educational platform
• To notify parents of student attendance status in real-time
• To facilitate secure communications between parents, teachers, and administration
• To share academic materials, resources, and event updates
• To track and display school bus routes and transportation updates
• To track fee payments and dues
• To detect, prevent, and address technical issues

3. Data Storage and Security

The security of your data is of paramount importance to us. Your data is stored securely using industry-standard protocols:

• Cloud Database: We use Supabase (built on PostgreSQL) with Row-Level Security (RLS) policies. This ensures that users can only access data they are explicitly authorized to view (e.g., parents can only view information regarding their own children).
• Offline Storage: The Service utilizes an offline-first caching mechanism (such as IndexedDB and LocalStorage) on your local device. This storage is containerized by your operating system and is not accessible by other applications.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

4. Service Providers (Third-Party Services)

We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service, perform Service-related services, or assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

• Supabase: For backend database services, authentication, and data storage.
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): For sending real-time push notifications.

5. Children's Privacy

Our Service is designed for use by students of The San Global School and their parents/guardians. Because School students may be minors under the age of 18, we take special precautions to protect their privacy:

• Accounts are created and managed in coordination with the college administration.
• Parents/guardians have direct access to and control over the data linked to their child's profile.
• We do not sell, rent, or lease student information to any third parties or advertisers.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
